I waited to write this review until I had some results to share. I can say that Doug has greatly improved all of the 5 palms he treated. Thanks Doug!! He always contacts me before arriving and is very experienced and focused. Will definitely recommend and contact again.

Michael Spinelli came to my house and diagnosed two clumps of areca palms as having ganoderma. He insisted that I should not delay in cutting down these trees and remove the stumps. He said he has seen this many times and he was certain my trees were infected and it would spread to my other areca palms and kill them. I have 30 clumps of 13 year old areca palms on all three sides of my backyard around the pool. Ganoderma forms mushroom-like conks attached to the lower part of palms. There were no conks and there was no wilting of leaves which is another symptom. Four months ago, I called some Broward County master gardener office who said the only way to diagnose ganoderma on a palm without conks is to cut one down and see if the center of the lower section of the tree is rotting. It would have a dark color. Of course this would be the sensible thing to do before cutting down and removing all traces of roots for both clumps of palm trees. I found it very odd that Michael was so over the top insistent about his diagnosis. I didn't believe him. Four months later I had Doug Giles, the owner of the company, come out and he told me the trees did NOT have ganoderma. The only thing I can think of that would make Michael lie about a diagnosis is the fact that I'm very active in city and county politics and maybe he's friends with one of my political enemies. If I had followed his directions and replaced the palms behind my waterfall with black bamboo, I'd ruin the consistent look of my backyard and I'd be constantly removing leaves from my pool. I told Doug to call me and let me know what was going on after he had a chance to speak with Michael but I haven't heard back from him after a week. If Michael wasn't lying about the ganoderma diagnosis, then he must be the worst palm tree doctor in South Florida.

Michael who came out was very nice and he was a wealth of information. He provided a fungus treatment to my small palms by the pool. It’s going to take time to see results as these are slow growers, but he put my mind at ease and gave me some great tips to make sure they stay healthy. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars and not 5 is because I feel Jennifer who answers the phones is extremely abrasive and unfriendly. The worst part of the service was having to speak to her. I hope she reads this and improves, because she made me uncomfortable on both occasions that we spoke. Otherwise, I would for sure use them in the future should I need another treatment.

Absolutely amazing! He no only saved our palm tree, but inspired our little son to be a plant doctor when he grows up. We learned about everything from bugs to watering and the benefit is tremendous! Love love it! Cannot say enough positive things and the impact on our landscaping!

Charged me $80 to come out and look at my palms...said they were all good. I was not home so I could not disagree with him, but my palms were not that...

I have used this company for a long time, they are honest and they know their stuff, they don't try and push stuff you don't need or a treatment that isn't...
